"Off-Label" ...And Out of Bounds?, Business Week Oct. 18, 2004 This article speaks to the US Attorney's office in Philadelphia investigation of Genetech and the marketing of one of its drugs. The issue is whether or not Genetech improperly marketed the cancer drug Rituxan to combat cancers other than those approved for treatment by the FDA. The issue of "the off label use of drugs" is coming under increased scrutiny as the side effects of drugs which are used for purposes other then what they were approved for, increases at an alarmingly high rate.Out of Bounds
